אירוע פתיחת תערוכה אתי אברג'ל: אם תעירו

תערוכת היחיד של אמנית הסדנאות אתי אברג'ל אם תעירו. חוגגת את הקשר העמוק של האמנית לעיר ירושלים תוך התבוננות במהלך יצירתה ובשפה שניסחה מאז שנות השמונים, עת הגיעה לעיר, בת עשרים ללימודים בבצלאל. בשלושים השנים האחרונות התגוררה אברג'ל בירושלים אך המשיכה לנוע בינה, בין טבעון, שם גרה משפחתה, ובין אירופה. הנסיעות התכופות בנו תדר של גלי יצירה, מעין נדודים פנימיים, אלגוריה של מסע אל שורשי הזהות ואל מקור היצירה. התערוכה מורכבת ממספר פרקים, ובהם עבודות חדשות ברישום, בפיסול ובוודיאו. אוצרת: תמר גיספאן-גרינברג

Etti Abergel, one of the artists working in the New Gallery Artists’ Studios, celebrates her deep bonds with the city of Jerusalem in this solo exhibition Arouse Love. After leaving the city she stops to observe her work process and the art language she has been formulating since the 1980s when she arrived in Jerusalem as a 20-year-old to begin her studies at Bezalel. In the last thirty years in which Abergel has lived in Jerusalem, she kept traveling between Jerusalem, Tivo'on, where her family lives, and Europe. Her constant travels built a frequency of creation waves, a kind of internal wondering, an allegory of a journey to the roots of identity and the source of the creation.
